Corporate Social Responsibility

Akuna has a policy of serving and participating in communities as a responsible and positive citizen. As part of our commitment, we are involved in the following projects:

• British Computer Society - the body that self regulates the UK IT Profession (http://www.bcs.org) - Michael Judd (Akuna Director) is the Open Source Speciality Group Treasurer
• CA Cert - CA cert is a project to establish trust online utilising digital certificates. (http://www.cacert.org) Akuna acts as a voluntary certifier under the CA certification programme.
• The Honey Pot project - a collaborative project to identify and reduce email spam (http://projecthoneyport.org) - Akuna donates resources to this project on an ongoing basis
• Elmbridge Basketball Club - is a Surrey based basketball club which acts as an integration point for the local community and develops basketball players, coaches and officials in the local area. (http://www.elmbridgebasketball.co.uk) - Akuna sponsors the Elmbridge basketball club providing their website and IT support
