ADempiere Introduction
ADempiere is an ERP system designed to be flexible and cost effective. ERP applications automate your business processes and implement controls which leads to better and consistent service delivery through-out your organisation.
ADempiere is unique in that it is developed by a community of businesses who use ADempiere. These users add new functionality as they need it and they make the entire product available to you with no licensing fees - making ADempiere significantly less expensive than other ERP products.
ADempiere is developed and maintained by businesses like Akuna in 63 Countries - ADempiere is implemented in over 30 Languages and in businesses with turnover from £200k to £750m.
Costs
Even though ADempiere is available for no charge, there are some costs associated with implementation which you should consider .
Evaluation
In order to try out ADempiere, you will probably want to have a quick look, then a more detailed look and perhaps model a number of your key business processes. You can take a quick look, by using one of the online demo sites. These may be suitable for a more detailed look but as the data is refreshed periodically, you may want to do your more detailed evaluation on your own server or one of our hosted & managed boxes. Modelling of your key processes will require you to have your process documented and some understanding of configuring ADempiere. We are able to help if you would like assistance with setting up your own box or configuring ADempiere to suit your business process. Our consultants have many years of experience in implementation of ERP and are often able to help you streamline your business processes.
Implementation
Implementing ERP usually involves remodelling of some of your business processes and this often provides efficiencies which are often difficult to factor in to your business case. In order to achieve these benefits, you will need to combine domain expertise from your business with application expertise. You may possess these skills within your business or augment your team with temporary resources from Akuna or other providers. You should be prepared to find ways to lock in any resources you draw upon internally perhaps by way of bonus or other financial remuneration or benefits.
Support
We offer support according to your needs so that you only pay for the support you want - not what we dictate. Some customers fully self support, whilst others have no internal support structure. We provide the following support elements which you may choose according to your requirements:
System Support
- Single Server Support - support a single server ADempiere implementation - £320/month
- HA Server Support - supporting a high availability cluster of ADempiere jboss servers and postgres/oracle databases - £200/month + £270/month per box (updates applied as required)
- Remote Backup - remotely scheduled backups of ADempiere - £120 per month + £4/GB
- Remote Admin - remotely accessing and updating your server/cluster - £60 per month
- Remote Backup Restore - restore a remote Backup of ADempiere to a functioning ADempiere Server - £150 per incident
- Single Server Build - building an ADempiere server on your hardware (minimum hardware specs apply) - may be required in conjunction with Remote Backup Restore - £550 per incident
Hosted Systems
- Hosted ADempiere Production - £100 per month + £55 per user
- Hosted ADempiere Demo / Prototype - from £160 per month (maximum of 4 users)
Application Support
- Administrator Support - we perform various administrative tasks such as opening and closing accounting periods, managing users, updating exchange rates, managing schedule reports.
User Support
- Ad-hoc user Support - response to calls/emails logged within 1 business day - £120 per hour
- Premium user support - response to calls/emails logged within 4 hours - £220/month (2 hours included) + £80 per hour
- All user support plans require remote admin and incidents are tracked by ticket through to resolution
Training
Akuna provides a range of training, including customised training for your users based on your system, as well as administrator courses. Typically, 2 day courses cost £350 per day subject to minimum bookings of 5 places and can be held as required.
Consulting
Akuna provides experienced people to help document business processes, guide you through our implementation methodology, discuss how your unique business processes might be implemented in Adempiere or any other ad-hoc enquiry. Fees are charged according to the level of expertise you require - ranging from £500 - £1,050 per day.
